Salary Scale £23,362 - £25,368 per annum 


We have a vacancy of Housekeeper/Orderly within the Theatre unit of Raigmore hospital theatre suite.

The position is interchangeable and you will be covering both areas with the same Job description on a rotational basis as required.

There is shift work required when you have achieved the relevant skillset. Shifts will range between the hours of 07.00 and 20.00 and will be appox 7.5 hour durations with weekend cover required between 0800-18.00 approximately once per month.

You will help transport patients to the theatre department and returning to the wards after surgery. You should be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks once training has been provided to adhere to moving and handling policies. In addition there may be other roles transporting specimens or equipment around the hospital.

The role involves houskeeping duties and completion of cleaning schedules to ensure the department is kept in good order.

Successful candidates will be motivated, enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills and commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.

Raigmore Hospital in Inverness is the largest hospital in the Highlands of Scotland and is the main centre for orthopaedic trauma and elective and emergency surgery for the Highlands and Islands.

Inverness City is on Scotland's North-east coast and is the largest city and cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands. The city boasts a busy Victorian Market, historical castle and Culloden Battlefield and Bronze Age Clava Cairns a short drive away.

For sports enthusiasts there is an ice rink, swimming pool and various tennis and squash courts and golf courses to hand and outdoor sports such as mountain biking, hill walking/climbing, fishing, water sports, ski-ing and canoeing are all within easy reach of the city.
