We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. 

This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

The candidate must be registered on Part 3 or 13 of the NMC.

A car driver with clean driving license is desirable.

The post holder will contribute to the comprehensive multi-disciplinary team in providing care and support to service users and their families within the local community. The post holder will maintain a caseload and contribute to clinics and group work and will foster a multi-disciplinary approach to clinical and managerial problems in a community setting.

Under the supervision of Band 6 CPN’s, the post holder will liaise with hospital and primary care teams, social work and voluntary agencies, and assist the CPN to promote and develop comprehensive nursing interventions for a range of mental health problems.

The post holder will have responsibility for teaching and supervision of learners and unqualified staff.

Good communication and organisational skills are essential along with knowledge of relevant legislation and current practice.

Experience in the Adult acute mental health setting is desirable.
