Full Time / Part Time, Permanent Positions – 40 hours per week

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become part of a small team providing excellent primary care services to the populations of Scourie, Kinlochbervie and Durness. Situated in North West Sutherland, the practice has a population of just over 850 patients across the three sites, all of which are dispensing. We are looking for 2WTE GPs to join the practice, which is supported by receptionist / dispensers, a Practice Manager, nursing, visiting clinicians and support services such as First Contact Physiotherapy and Pharmacotherapy, as well as the Scottish Ambulance Service.
We are committed to a work life balance and have embraced longer 15 minute appointment times and the opportunity this affords us to care for our patients.
Out of Hours cover is provided by the team during the week, with on-call shared by members of the team. Typically you will be on call two nights a week. At the weekends, medical cover is provided by the NHS Highland’s Out of Hours service and sessions are available.
Due to the rurality, Pre-Hospital Emergency Care / BASICS training is required but staff can be supported to undertake this once in practice if it has not previously been completed.
Situated on the NC500 route, the practice is situated in an area of outstanding beauty, with fantastic wildlife and a quality and pace of life that cannot be beaten.
