NHS Fife provides essential health care services to the population of Fife. Technology plays a vital role in the delivery of these services. The operational teams within Digital and Information, consists of 5 teams, Infrastructure, Networks, Application support, End Point and Service desk.
The Core Infrastructure team consists of 8 Infrastructure Engineers and 2 Infrastructure Analysts. The primary role of the team is to support, maintain and deploy services to NHS Fife.
We currently have a role for an engineer to join our Core Infrastructure team on a permanent basis to provide additional expertise and technical excellence, within IT Infrastructure, during a busy period of upgrades and implementations, particularly in the Microsoft Server space.
Your new role as a Core Infrastructure Engineer will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Professional with an Infrastructure or Platform background.

• Knowledge of Microsoft platforms, SQL, Hypervisor (Hyper-V / VMware), San storage.
• Able to collaborate with other teams and suppliers to deliver new systems.
• Write documentation.

The Infrastructure Team deploys, maintenances and supports the Infrastructure and Platforms for NHS Fife estate. It also collaborates with partner organisations on a range of complex technologies providing expert technical skills and advice.
Your new role will be to assist the Core Infrastructure Manager, and Senior Management of NHS Fife, to maintain a high level of service to the entire health board. This will include involvement in design, deployment, coordinating with internal and external parties and the maintenance of core systems to ensure high level of stability and availability to the board.
