The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide a comprehensive telephone clinical service to patients and other health care professionals to facilitate referrals to the appropriate level and location of care.
- We receive referrals that are mainly conducted by telephone and provide advice on a wide range of clinical issues, some of which can be of a sensitive or complex nature - GPs/ANPs/SAS/Police are some of the professionals referring into the service.
- We work closely with ED/NHS24 in returning telephone calls to assess/triage patients and direct them to the most appropriate care setting.
- Effective communication and listening skills are required to ensure patient care needs are met

What we'll need you to bring
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management skills

This role will be based in The Flow Navigation Centre within University Hospital Hairmyres.
