Dental Advide Line Nurse - 37.5 Hours - Band 5

The NHS Grampian Dental Information and Advice Line (DIAL) is a telephone-based critical service who provides urgent care triage for adults and children who require access to emergency dental care.
As a Dental Information and Advice Line Nurse, you will be part of a small team who:
- assess and triage patients and give an emergency dental appointment if required with participating dental clinics.
- provide advice for dental problems
- provide details of NHS dentists currently registering patients.
This is an exceptionally busy team; the post holder will be the first point of contact for patients. So good communication, interpersonal and IT skills are essential with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. The successful applicant should have excellent organisational skills, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates must be able to work under pressure to meet changing deadlines and priorities.
In addition to the above, candidates must provide information within their application supporting statement which demonstrates their knowledge of the GCD Scope of Practice for Dental Nurses, familiarity with the GDC Standards for the Dental Team, and the application of these in the workplace.

You have relevant clinical experience minimum 3 years as a Dental Nurse with NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing along with full registration with the GDC and up to date CPD.
This post will provide an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development and experience in emergency dental triage.

Salary and Hours: This post is full time 37.5 hours per week (Fixed-term or Secondment 11 months) at Band 5 (£30,229 - £37,664)
