Are you looking for a new challenge and have an interest in Mental Health. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our ever expanding team and continue to develop the existing role, delivering high quality, safe and effective person-centred pharmaceutical care to patients across Dundee Mental Health Services?

The post holder will form part of the Clinical Pharmacy Team based within the Carseview Centre and will work mainly within the Dundee General Adult Psychiatry and Learning Disability Service. As well as a varied role, you’ll have an opportunity to positively contribute to an already well established in/out-Patient Pharmacy Service. You will be required to work closely with a wide-range of professionals and individuals engaged with Mental Health Services and therefore must have excellent communication, motivation and problem solving skills whilst being able to work under pressure to successfully deliver this role.

Do you have the ability to also work independently, managing your own work load along with supervising the pharmacy support workers and pre registration pharmacy technicians in daily dispensary operations?

You will possess excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills with the ability to assist in service development and implement change.

You will be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. An Accuracy Checking Technician qualification is essential for this post.

We would welcome applications from Band 4 Pharmacy Technicians.

Successful candidates will undertake a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician career progression programme to support their professional development.  On successful completion of the programme and an interview/assessment the candidate will advance to Band 5.
