Borders Adult Community Mental Health Service
Specialist Psychological Nurse Therapist - 37.5 hrs per week
NHS Borders are looking for a Specialist Psychological Nurse Therapist to join our thriving and innovative multi-disciplinary team.
NHS Borders are delighted to invite applicants to join our Borders Adult Community Mental Health Service (BACMHS). This is a fantastic career move that brings with it a lifestyle changing opportunity to work in the Scottish Borders and experience the benefits of rural life with very easy access to major cities such as Edinburgh (37 Miles) Glasgow (75 miles) and Newcastle (75 miles).
BACMHS aims to deliver person centred care within a biopsychosocial framework to rural communities within the Scottish Borders. As we progress with our service improvement program work, we see this significant post as central, and an exciting opportunity to transform the way we support and care for those individuals with a range of presenting mental health conditions who require evidence-based psychological interventions.
The Specialist Psychological Nurse Therapist will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to ensure services are effective and provide clinical leadership to staff within the BACMHS service. This will include professional and practice development and ensuring high quality person-centred care is delivered. The post holder will lead by example to maintain high standards of care and practice, empowering the team to provide DBT therapy and other evidence-based psychological interventions in a group or individual basis to patients with a range of presenting mental health conditions across a range of services; tailored to the needs of individuals attending the mental health and psychological services.
We provide secondary care intensive community treatment, delivering multidisciplinary and psychological interventions that are led by our population’s changing needs and national guidance.
We provide regular in-house training opportunities through continued professional development.
We would encourage anyone interested in this post to contact us (details below) for a chat and or to arrange a visit. We would love to share the wonderful work that we are doing in the Scottish Borders.
