NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is hiring additional Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our Acute Nursing and Midwifery teams supporting our medical /discharge wards at two of our Acute Hospital sites located at Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow and Inverclyde Royal Hospital , Greenock
We are pleased to invite applications for permanent posts from Adult staff nurses interested in supporting our winter capacity response teams where you will be working initially in one of our medical /discharge wards for up to 6 months. Thereafter transitioning in Spring 2024 into a post aligned to your preferred area of nursing practice, hospital and ward location.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced staff nurses who are looking to develop their professional practice in a new area of nursing . It’s also a great opportunity if you are a currently UK NMC registered staff nurse looking to return to the NHS or working as a staff but would like to work in a different clinical specialty.
Spending a period of time as part of our winter response team will give you an opportunity to use your experience and expertise in patient management and discharge planning.
Applications are welcome from UK NMC Registered Nurses, currently or recently practicing in NHS settings, local authority/private care sector and voluntary/third sector organisations. Application are also encouraged from Armed Forces Veterans who are registered NMC registered Adult Nurses.
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate excellent clinical skills, good critical reasoning skills with an adaptable and positive attitude. The ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team is essential along with flexibility.
We have a number of flexible working opportunities across both Full time and Part-time working patterns
