NHS Lothian is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.

To this end, NHS Lothian welcomes applications from all sections of society.

The main departmental office base is presently at Waverley Gate located in central Edinburgh with excellent travel links to surrounding areas. NHS Lothian currently operates an agile working model – supporting a blend of working at home and days on site each week.

We are looking for a forward thinking and dynamic programme manager to join our Population Health Division within the Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy. Your focus would include programmes of work such as to support implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child, the development of a Maternal and Child Health data strategy and supporting prevention and early intervention for children and young people.

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who can inspire partners and demonstrate the importance of a focus on maternal and child health in all appropriate policies; ensuring that infants, children, young people, and their families receive the care and support required to meet their needs. A key skill set will be relationship building and the ability to build alliances with key partners. The post holder will report to the Child Health Commissioner (NHS Lothian).
