What you will do:

The Perinatal Community Mental Health Service is keen to recruit a Band 6 Occupational Therapist who will be core to the multidisciplinary team in this newly developed pan-Ayrshire service. You will support the ongoing development of the service and will be part of national and peer support networks

Working closely with Primary and Secondary care, the service will take the lead in training, consultancy and the therapeutic delivery of evidence based and outcome focussed care for those referred to the service. The team will deliver on meeting the targeted and universal needs of the perinatal population of Ayrshire and Arran, which will involve working in a number of localities and settings.

We are striving to fulfil the national and local ambitions for Perinatal Mental Health services; meeting the needs of expectant and new mothers who would benefit from referral and access to the service. As a newly developing service we aim to promote service delivery and have received national recognition for the work achieved so far to support families in Ayrshire and Arran.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

With a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration, you will have significant post registration experience and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of Occupational Therapy, through CPD Post Graduate training, evidence of additional knowledge and experience.

 

We will offer you the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills. You will be provided with a range of role specific and generic training.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week


Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role due to the Pan Ayrshire nature of this role.
