This is a fixed term position for 12 months.

The shift pattern for this position is within normal business hours.
A 12m, fixed term vacancy has arisen for a Band 8B Principal Psychologist (0.4WTE) within East Renfrewshire HSCP. The postholder will work across the PCMHT and pick up some cases for the adult CMHT in East Renfrewshire due to shortages in psychology staffing. The postholder will carry out delegated leadership tasks in support of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Lead in the PCMHT and deliver high intensity and highly specialist Psychological Therapies to suitable patients within the PCMHT and, where appropriate, the CMHT. The postholder will also supervise the delivery of psychological interventions and therapies delivered by other staff.
You will be an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, registered with the HCPC as such, have experience of adult mental health services and the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies to adults, and formal training and experience in supervision.
The postholder will join the large and dynamic South Glasgow/East Renfrewshire Psychology department and enjoy extensive support and CPD opportunities.
For existing employees, a secondment will be considered with the support of current line manager.
