Support the implementation and management of the clinical aspects of HEPMA, across NHS Lothian managed sector, safely, effectively and within the defined limits of responsibility, resources and activity.
Lead and develop complex clinical audit and undertake research to evaluate implementation and benefits realisation of HEPMA and report findings at a local, regional and national level.
Provide highly specialist training to nurses, consultants, junior medical staff, non-medical prescribers and pharmacy staff across NHS Lothian to support safe development, implementation, roll out and business as usual for HEPMA.
Support the Pharmacist Team Manager HEPMA in the strategic and operational development of the pharmacy service to NHS Lothian.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
