We are looking for a State Registered Radiotherapy Physicist within the above section which provides clinical, scientific and technical services to the Radiotherapy Department of Tayside Cancer Centre, serving the population of Tayside and North East Fife, and delivering around 1400 new courses of treatment each year. External beam therapy is provided by three Varian linear accelerators, fitted with MLC and OBI systems. These are supported by RayStation Treatment Planning System which is linked to a wide-bore CT, MRI and PET/CT scanners. The department provides a Brachytherapy service using a Varian BRAVOS High Dose-Rate remote after loading device.
You will be expected to participate in all the routine activities of the section, including dosimetry, machine quality control, patient specific dose verifications, treatment planning, teaching, input into the ISO9001:2015 Quality System and contributing to any new installation and development work being embarked on in the centre. The department encourages physicists to participate in the IPEM CPD scheme.
