Housekeeping Supervisor

AfC Band 3 (pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of ££1,591.56per annum (pro rata)

Hours 37.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri 0630 - 1430)

Contract Duration – Permanent

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Housekeeping Supervisor within The State Hospital.  Duties will include to support the Housekeeping & Linen Service Manager and housekeeping staff in the provision of a high quality housekeeping service to patients and staff within the State Hospital

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital by supervising, directing and training housekeeping staff whilst ensuring that security procedures are followed at all times. To support the ward/departmental staff in the smooth running of their area and come into direct contact with patients and ward/department based staff.

To undertake service monitoring throughout the site and generate performance reports/rectification lists as required

Ability to follow instruction and formulate cleaning schedules and task instructions. This may include the completion of Health & safety Risk Assessments and COSHH Risk Assessments.

Conduct a comprehensive training programme for all new starts and existing housekeeping staff on all areas of the service provision including Hospital Acquired Infection.

You will have good communications skills, be enthusiastic and self-motivated. You shall be required to be discreet and courteous.
