Are you an experienced midwife, committed to putting women, babies and families at the centre of maternity care?
We have a Band 8A vacancy for a clinical midwifery manager. This post is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with an expectation of visibility, accessibility and an on-call commitment.
This post will work closely with Lead Midwife peers and report directly to the Divisional Midwifery Manager.
We are entering exciting times in NHS Highland, the Raigmore Maternity Unit Refurbishment Programme is now underway. We are looking for a visionary leader who can help drive and sustain change whilst ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest evidence based flexible care for women and their families.
The Women and Child Division, incorporates Maternity services for NHSH North, Neonatal care, Paediatric services, Gynaecology services and the nursing management of the Highland Breast Centre.
The successful candidate must have relevant experience within a senior midwifery position, can demonstrate personal development, leadership abilities and have previous experience in the management of staff and services.
Raigmore Maternity Unit delivers 2000 women a year and co-ordinates triage for North NHS Highland. It is a consultant lead unit that provides ante natal, intra partum and post-partum care, including midwifery ultrasound, day case, triage, and high dependency care. The Neonatal Unit cares for sick and preterm neonates from 28 weeks gestation, within intensive care, high dependency, and special care cots
The Gynaecology Service deliver a full range of care including inpatient, outpatients, Early pregnancy, and social gynaecology
