An opportunity has arisen to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to a group of doctors and nursing staff in the Emergency Department of Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. You will provide a high quality secretarial and administrative service for medical and nursing staff to ensure efficiency in patient care and the ability to prioritise work accordingly. You will deal with telephone and face-to-face enquiries from all staff groups, patients, relatives, carers and Procurator Fiscal Office. You will update medical rotas. You will be skilled in audiotyping to complete clinic and discharge letters. You will be skilled in minute taking. You will be knowledgeable with NHS health & safety requirements and policies. You will be experienced in all Microsoft Packages.  You should have the ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to working hours.   It is essential that you have a knowledge of medical terminology and it would be desirable if you have experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of PMS Trakcare. 

The shift pattern form Monday 0830-1630 & Friday 0830-1630
