There are full and part time shifts available. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
The shift pattern for this post includes weekends, public holidays and OOH shifts.
The District Nurse (Registered Adult Nurse and District Nurse, Specialist Practitioner) will be responsible for the management of a caseload of community patients, leading and managing a team of qualified nursing staff and health support workers. You will function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience to lead and enable the district nursing team to provide a high quality nursing service. You will be responsible and accountable for the ongoing management of the caseload to ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. These will be developed in partnership with patients, family, carers’ and significant others, and will be evidence based taking into consideration the lifestyle, race, gender and cultural background, and factors which impact on physical, mental or emotional health. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have a post registration qualification in District Nursing. Consideration will be given to applicants looking for part time hours and also DN SPQ students due to qualify in September 2019? The shift pattern for this post is between Monday-Sunday. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
