We also provide specialist services on behalf of the West of Scotland for the population of 2.7 million people and provide a number of national services which are accessed from across Scotland..
This is an exciting time to think about joining our established and forward thinking Theatre teams working across our 10 Theatre sites which include both Acute Teaching hospitals and District General Hospitals.
We are currently recruiting into theatre positions in a range of surgical specialities including:
For these exciting opportunities we are now seeking to appoint a number of highly motivated, enthusiastic, engaged and forward thinking anaesthetic and perioperative practitioners to join our NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Adult and Paediatric Theatres teams for posts based within our Acute hospital sectors in North and South Glasgow and Clyde (Renfrewshire and Inverclyde) at:

Application are encouraged from Registered Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners. These posts are also suitable for for newly qualified staff. We are seeking candidates who will already demonstrate a flexible attitude and will be inspired to deliver a high standard of quality care within our Theatre departments. Good communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to assess, plan and implement care for perioperative patients. The ability to work on your own initiative but most importantly you must have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high quality of person centred care to our patients.
Working within our Theatre services, you’ll enjoy and benefit professionally in a multi-specialty role, rotating around the suite for Anaesthetics, Scrub or Recovery. You will have the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge across a fascinating and diverse range of cases. Our enthusiastic education team will guide and support you whether you are a newly qualified nurse or if you are just new to our department and facilitate your learning and education development.
You are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service that runs over a seven day week and will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service.
