The Role

Airdrie Integrated Rehabilitation Team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists both NHS and NLC, occupational therapy assistants, assistant practitioners (APR) to rehabilitation and health care support worker.  The team provide a rehabilitation service to the community and an off site bed unit.    The APR will carry out assessments and interventions to enable the patients to reach their outcomes.  The APR is supported by the registered staff and  receive regular supervision, with the opportunity for training,

What we'll need you to bring:

Qualifications and Experience

  • HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or  SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
  • Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Full driving licence holder.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Basic assessment skills.
  • Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually, or as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.

  • 21 hours

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.



Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Airdrie Rehabilitation Team within Airdrie Social Work Department

The working pattern for this role is between the hours of 08.30am - 16.00pm.
