NHS Fife Pharmacy Services have an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic and forward thinking Senior Pharmacist for Community Pharmacy Services.

Our leadership team aspires to be the best pharmacy service in NHS Scotland.  We are committed to achieving this both by delivering the best care for patients and their medicines, and by being felt to be the best place to work by the whole team. It is an exciting time to join the team as we commit to fully integrating pharmacy services across primary and secondary care.

The integrated pharmacy service is currently undertaking new and innovative developments in partnership with Community Pharmacy across Fife.  Along with supporting the continuing development of NHS Scotland Pharmacy First, Pharmacy First Plus and core Public Health Services, the team are also progressing a number of key public health initiatives locally within Community Pharmacy to continue to develop the vital role they play within the HSCP in delivering NHS services to local communities.  The team works collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams across health and social care services in acute and primary care supporting community pharmacy.

This post provides a unique opportunity for a highly motivated senior pharmacist to support the evaluation and expansion of current initiatives while developing and implementing new ways of working in Community Pharmacy. You will have highly effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and liaise closely with hospital, specialist, GP practice and Community Pharmacy colleagues to support seamless pharmaceutical care. You will support Community Pharmacy developments by working closely with the Pharmacy Champions, Public Health and HSCP locality groups to ensure alignment with local pharmaceutical need. There is potential to be involved in shaping new and innovative models of care in line with health and social care strategies as integrated teams and services develop.

Enquiries are welcome from candidates with a strong Community Pharmacy background wishing to work within the development team to progress NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Strategic Framework and who have an enthusiasm for shaping the future of pharmacy services in local communities.

Applications will be considered on a full time or part time (minimum 30 hours/week) basis
