Are you organised, dynamic, energetic, with great administrative skills? Do you like working as part of a busy team? This diverse and interesting post plays a key role in the planning/booking of clinics, arranging patient appointments, processing referrals and monitoring failsafe arrangements for patients. It also involves the maintenance of the DES Service’s clinical software package, Optomize, including data management/ extraction, along with other adhoc administrative tasks.
You should be educated to HNC/HND level or have equivalent administration experience. An excellent knowledge of MS Office packages with knowledge of spreadsheets (excel) a distinct advantage. Sound knowledge of databases is vital as you will be required to manage, manipulate and report on electronic systems. You will also be required to learn our recognised health care systems e.g. Clinical Portal, Trakcare, SCI Diabetes.
Excellent communication skills are essential as well as the ability to deal with situations in a calm and methodical manner. A positive outlook in relation to high quality patient care and team working is also essential. If you feel you can play an active part in this evolving service, we would like to hear from you.
