The shift pattern is 7.5 hour shifts – Working days may vary to support service

As a member of the colorectal oncology team, the post holder will be trained to a level of clinical expertise, leadership and management skills to ensure co-ordination of the care of patients. The post holder will provide a seamless service for patients and their families, both at time of diagnosis and during their cancer journey. In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, which includes medical and clinical oncologists, research nurses, radiographers and prescribing pharmacists, the post holder will develop and support a model of care to provide support, assessment and education for this group of patients. This will include nurse led clinics and prescribing of systemic therapies using established protocols. The post holder will be expected to complete an agreed training pathway to include non-medical prescribing and clinical assessment (if not already achieved). Whilst the post holder will join an already established oncology CNS team, there is the opportunity to engage in service development.
