Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37.5hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.

The Activity coordinator plays a significant role in patient’s recovery by providing meaningful activities to promote appropriate levels of stimulation, promote well- being and encourage and maintain a patient’s current level of function and avoid de-conditioning whist in hospital.

You will be responsible for developing an activity programme, facilitating patient groups and individual interventions on the ward. The post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, liaising closely with nursing and therapy staff to design person-centred activities contributing positively to the emotional and psychological wellbeing of patients.

The successful candidates will need to be passionate about dementia care and demonstrate their enthusiasm and motivation to make a real difference working within our trust values. They must be able to work as part of a team but also under their own initiative to provide and co-ordinate such activities.
