POST:   SPECIALIST DOCTOR IN COMMUNITY SEXUAL & REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

BASE:  SANDYFORD SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES

Applications are invited from an enthusiastic community Sexual & Reproductive Health (cSRH) Specialist to provide direct clinical care within integrated sexual health and related services at Sandyford or any of its other sites, with particular emphasis on provision of clinical care to the abortion and complex SRH services.  Post holders will also provide clinical leadership, participate in local and national quality improvement activities, assist in research as required, provide and take part in educational activities, undertake administrative tasks in order to ensure smooth liaison and partnership development with all relevant statutory and non-statutory agencies and other task deemed suitable that may arise as a result at the request of the Sandyford management team.

Sandyford offers a comprehensive range of Sexual & Reproductive Health services. The service commitment and training opportunities will be tailored according to the successful applicant’s core skills and development needs. 

Applicants should have full GMC registration and a licence to practice. Those trained in the UK should hold DFSRH and preferably MFSRH. They should also be registered with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare as a Faculty Instructing Doctor, hold Letters of Competence in Intrauterine coil and Implant fitting, and have completed the FSRH Special Skills Modules in Abortion Care, Ultrasound and Menopause.

Applicants who do not hold the relevant skills above may be appointed if there is a commitment to complete these within the first 18 months of appointment. The post can be filled on a locum basis until the competencies are achieved.

Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.

All applicants must possess full GMC registration, a licence to practice, with at least 10 years full time Post Graduate Training, 6 of which must have been in a relevant specialty or you will demonstrate and evidence equivalent experience and competencies.
