The post of a substance misuse liaison nurse would be to improve retention in treatment particularly those detoxed from alcohol and those accessing ORT with responsibility for co-ordinating pathways and partnerships for people in services, linking into the District General Hospital in Oban, out patient liver clinics, residential rehabilitation, Scottish Prison Service and other agencies with the broadest aim of reducing alcohol and drug related death across Argyll and Bute.
This post will be aligned to the Response Service and is instrumental in fulfilling MAT standards.
