This post is responsible for providing personal care and support to service users in a residential care setting. To do this we are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are able to work both on an individual basis and as a member of a team. You will adopt a person centred approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to service users within the home to maximise and maintain their independence.
Previous experience in social care is desirable but not essential. Ideally you should hold an SVQ 2 in Social Care, or other relevant qualification, to enable registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service or be willing to achieve this within 5 years of appointment.
This is a permanent full-time post of 37.5 hours working a three week rota consisting of day, back and night shifts and includes evening and weekend enhancements.
