Spotlight on the Programme Investigation Unit - Department of Clinical Neurosciences Exciting opportunities are available to join the Programme Investigation Unit (PIU) within the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DCN) in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. PIU is open 0800-1800, Monday to Friday and this role will be to cover 4 days a week PIU comprises of 4 cubicles and looks after patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. We offer disease modifying therapies (DMT) for MS patients which can transform patients’ future. PIU also looks after post op local anaesthetic procedure patients. This includes angiograms, nerve root injections, lumbar puncture and MRI under GA. The Unit has much to offer in terms of professional development and there is a dedicated in-house education team that organise in house neuroscience training and courses to further your personal development. Progression opportunities include Nurse Specialist roles and ward nursing management.
