We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team.
This post covers our Mental Health Learning Disability and Complex Care service, and provides highly specialist advise, consultation and assessment of postural care needs
You will take the lead in the delivery and development of a Highly specialist Physiotherapy service within this service.
You will be experienced in working within mental health; preferably within learning disability and keen to thrive in a role that offers you the variety of working with both older and younger adults with learning disability and complex care needs to have an interesting and varied caseload. You will be able to articulate and demonstrate Physiotherapies unique and valued contribution told LD services.
You will have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to provide:
• Strong leadership, supervision and mentorship
• Highly specialist Physiotherapy clinical interventions
• The development and evaluation of clinical services within this team, holding
responsibility for defined projects
• Ability to travel independently across the region
• You will be offered the opportunity to represent the Dumfries & Galloway Mental Health AHP service in appropriate local and national forums as directed by the Occupational therapy Service Manager/AHP Mental Health Lead
• We offer the opportunity of learning and development opportunities tailored to your individual needs
• Although experience of postural management and training is desirable, we may offer this training for the most appropriate candidate.
• Possibility of a Band 6 to Band 7 development opportunity for the right candidate based on experience
• Flexible working/Hybrid as well as part time hours will also be considered.
