A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for two pharmacy technicians to join our friendly and supportive Aseptic team. These are new posts following funding approval in response to the growing Systemic-Anti Cancer Services in NHS Tayside. NHS Tayside hosts one of only thirteen Aseptic Dispensing Units in Scotland. The unit is based at Ninewells Hospital and the main function is to prepare and supply ready to administer patient specific doses of injectable chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition to patients across NHS Tayside.
**Applications are welcomed from newly qualified Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Technicians with no previous aseptic experience. If the successful applicant does not meet the minimum criteria for a band 5 they will be placed on the band 4 scale and supported through the relevant training to progress to a band 5. The applicant would be expected to complete the PACT (Pharmacy Aseptic Checking Technician) qualification.
You will be an active member of the pharmacy technician team delivering the aseptic service. You will participate in all areas of the product journey from generation of worksheets and labels, the accurate and safe preparation of aseptic products within clean room facilities through to stock management and contribution to continuous improvements and implementation of developments to meet audit standards.
You must have excellent time management skills and posses the ability to work under pressure. You must be a registrant of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) who holds a recognised accuracy checking qualification or willing to work towards this.**

Hours of work are: 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working, job share and part time hours will be considered.
