Assistant Psychologist – Adult Mental Health Psychology Service
Digital Therapeutic Interventions Service (Computerised CBT)
Band 5 : Fixed Term 12 months : 30 hours/week
This is an exciting opportunity to join the friendly and innovative Adult Health Specialty within the psychology department of NHS Dumfries and Galloway. Applications are invited from enthusiastic and energetic individuals who want to play a key role in supporting the Lead Clinical Psychologist for the Self Help and Computerised CBT Service in providing evidence based circumscribed psychological and digital therapeutic interventions in Dumfries and Galloway. The post will primarily involve:
• Providing support to digital therapy clients throughout the course of their treatment, helping to maintain engagement with the programme and administering reviews.
• Assisting in clinically related administration, conduct audits, collection of evaluation and mandatory data sets, development of audit and/or research, teaching and project work.
• Contribute to Quality Improvement for Service
Our department is welcoming and inclusive, with friendly and approachable staff working in all major specialties. The department currently has a complement of around 90 staff, with teams of Psychologists, Psychological Therapists and Assistant Psychologists.
The post has dedicated CPD and supervision time.

Dumfries and Galloway is a beautiful area offering spectacular countryside and outdoors activities across a large geographical area from Stranraer in the west to Langholm in the east. The population of approximately 150,000 is spread across rural locations. Dumfries is linked by rail to Glasgow (2 hours) and via Lockerbie to Edinburgh (1 hour) and Glasgow (1 hour) and is 40 minutes drive from Carlisle.
