We are looking for a band 6 Charge Nurse to join the team in our newly opened Acute Frailty Unit in Perth Royal Infirmary.


Due to the continued development of the Acute Frailty Unit, we are seeking to appoint individuals with the skills to deliver the highest standard of holistic care to our patients and families. You will work in this highly rewarding area, within a clinical team that value patient safety and the delivery of safe and effective, patient centred care.

       

As a Band 6 Charge Nurse you will be responsible for overseeing ward management and patient placement, ensuring that your effective leadership and communication skills drive high standards of patient centred care from your team. The post holder will be an approachable, pro active and dedicated nurse with sound clinical skills.


You will also be involved in recruitment and retention and completing individual performance reviews for your team. You will possess excellent communication, time management and organisational skills, as well possessing a passion for supporting and assisting with changes and developments within our unit. We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy and challenging environment.


In AFU we believe that staff wellbeing and development is paramount in achieving high standards of patient care. A post in AFU will provide you with opportunity for personal and professional development through peer support, and structured education and training whilst being supported by our Clinical Educator. 



You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC register.
