Senior Information Analyst – Health Intelligence (Ref: 172625)
Fixed term for 12 months
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Band 6 - Salary Range £37,831 - £46,100 per annum
Distant Island Allowance of £2,256 per annum (only applicable for Shetland residents)
Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available
Shetland is looking to welcome an enthusiastic analyst who is wants to support delivery of positive outcomes for peoples’ health through data and analytics. This new post aims to support the development of the Shetland Health Intelligence Platform (SHIP) for community health services, to support the improvement of health outcomes for people across Shetland. The platform aims to improve long-term condition management and provide more person-centred care.
The post holder will be part of NHS Shetland’s Information Team, and responsible for the design, development, testing and deployment of the integrated tool utilising current systems. The role will be working closely with a variety of clinical teams and clinical leaders. The postholder must have extensive experience, including a minimum of 5 years within an information environment, and have experience in the development of data dashboards and the use of SQL, Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools to an advanced level. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also essential.
This contract is fixed-term for 12 months to allow for ongoing workforce planning with review throughout. If you wish to apply for this post as a secondment opportunity, you will need to discuss with your line manager before submitting an application.
