We are seeking to appoint a self motivated and enthusiastic Head of Nursing who has the creativity, experience, skills, energy, and commitment to play a key role in the development, leadership and delivery of nursing services across the acute services division. This role is part of the Emergency Care Directorate Triumvirate with a key professional leadership role.
You will support the Director of Nursing for Acute and ECD General Managers to develop and implement key nursing priorities. Leading by example and using evidenced based practice, professional and clinical judgement in the context of safe, effective, and person centred care, you will provide leadership and advice on a range of key priorities as a core aspect of the role.
You will also work closely with a range of stakeholders at local, regional and national level including collaboration with Medical and Allied Health Professional colleagues to support working across professional and organisational boundaries as well as promoting a supportive and compassionate, caring culture.
You will require to be a first level registered nurse, educated to Masters level or equivalent with significant experience in acute healthcare. A related postgraduate or professional qualification in Quality Improvement would be desirable. An expert knowledge of current nursing developments, and a demonstrable track record of success in a senior nurse role within a complex health care environment is essential.
