An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered mental health nurses with a passion for high quality, person-centered, and psychologically informed care to join our older adult in-patient service. Ward One provides acute mental health assessment, care, and treatment, to people aged over 65 who are experiencing functional and organic illnesses.
You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to carry out holistic assessments, informing the delivery of care and treatment within a biopsychosocial model. As part of your role, you will have an understanding of the complex relationship between physical and mental health and work with patients, their loved ones, and a variety of professionals to achieve recovery and positive outcomes for individuals. In line with local and national mental health and dementia strategies, there are a number of exciting service changes underway, with opportunities for professional development to enhance care provision and prioritise the knowledge and skills growth of individuals.
You will require excellent communication skills be able to work autonomously, as well as flexibly within the team. Providing support and mentorship to junior staff members and student nurses.
