NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours rotating from days to nights including weekends and public holidays.

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 registered nurse to join our enthusiastic, forward-thinking team within ward 11B QEUH. As part of this team, you will have the responsibility for assessment, delivery and supervision of all care needs within the ward environment. You will possess clinical skills for the assessment of patient needs, implementation and evaluation of care which are evidence based. You will have the ability to deliver high clinical standards in this fast-paced environment. You are required to be flexible forward thinking and able to work efficiently within a changing and dynamic environment. A fundamental part of this role is to participate in communications as part of the multi- disciplinary team to enhance the patient journey.
You will be responsible to the senior charge nurse and should be able to work on your own merit with the support of the wider nursing team. You should possess excellent communication skills and decision-making skills with evidence of ongoing professional development. It is essential you are currently a registered nurse within the NMC and have evidence of continuing professional development. Experience in ENT is desirable but not essential. You may be expected to work in another clinical area when service needs are required.
