Health Care Support worker

Speech and Language Therapy

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Speech and Language Therapy Adult services for a part time (22.5 hours), Band 3 Health Care Support Worker (HCSW). You will be based within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital supporting the work of Speech & Language Therapists (SLTs).

The ideal candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic and work directly with patients, jointly implementing individual and group treatment programmes under the direction of a Speech and Language Therapist. 

You should have formal training and/or experience in a relevant discipline e.g. SVQ level III or equivalent in health, therapy or care support and a good working knowledge of routine IT (e.g. document preparation, data inputting) and common methods of digital communication (e.g. email).

The shift pattern for this post is three days, 8.30-4.30pm, with a degree of flexibility regarding working pattern.

Regular supervision and support will be offered as well as training opportunities as required.
