Locum Specialty Registrar (LAS) in General Adult Psychiatry

Attached to a Community Health Team


ST1 / ST2 LEVEL 

Full-time salary inclusive of out of hours banding is £1,660.22 per week (pro rata if applicable).  per week inclusive of hours allowance (ST1-ST2) (pro rata if applicable).  Full Time available – part time applications also welcome

Fixed term from February – August 2024.

The Post

You will be attached to one of three multidisciplinary adult Community Mental Health Teams in the Scottish Borders Area or the Community Mental Health for Older Adults Services Team.

These posts are aimed at post foundation doctors at ST1 or ST2 level who have completed a foundation medical training programme and can demonstrate foundation competencies (or equivalent).   You may be seeking further experience of psychiatry in which you have a longer term interest (e.g. future entry into specialty or general practice training), or to provide a professional development supplement to support other career options longer term.   This post is not a recognised training grade but may be the right opportunity for you to develop and evidence clinical and professional competence to assist overall CV development.
