An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Pharmacist to join NHS Forth Valley’s Substance Use Service (SUS). This community based service is comprised of a multi-professional team, includes Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and other Clinical Pharmacists who work together with the wider nursing and multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist care for people with drug and alcohol use problems.
Your expertise will be utilised in a patient facing role within a clinic setting, maximising prescribing benefits, promoting harm reduction and helping improve health outcomes for this patient group. You will have an active role in delivering the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) standards through quality improvement projects and contribute to the Drug Related Death prevention agenda.
You will be a qualified independent prescriber, already enrolled on the IP course or be willing to complete the qualification.
Potential candidates should have significant post -qualification experience and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
