An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse – Care Homes and Care at Home to join NHS Highland in providing professional nursing leadership to Care Homes and Care at Home across North Highland HSCP.

This is a highly regarded and dynamic professional nursing leadership post, reporting to the Associate Nurse Director and working closely and collaboratively with Adult Social Care colleagues.  The successful post holder will also work with other senior nurses in the organisation and in partnership with operational managers, and clinical leads.

The post holder will work closely with a range of colleagues including Care Home Managers, Adult Social Care, GPs, Practice Nurses, MacMillan Nursing, Tissue Viability and Continence Advanced Practitioners, Specialist Nurses, to ensure excellence in community nursing care provision.

This is a key leadership role and serves to provide expert advice on safe, quality care; professional workforce standards; planning and development; service improvement; and partnership working

Experience in a leadership role is desirable, but passion, vision, and an understanding of the vital contribution of the professional leadership team are equally as important.

Some travel within NHS Highland will be required. A valid driving license is essential. Access to pool car use can be arranged.

Working pattern is Monday to Friday and base is negotiable within North Highland.
