The shift pattern is Monday-Friday (37.5 hours).

We require a full time Band 2 Housekeeper to join our team based in a busy, exciting Children and Young People’s Outpatient Department in the Royal Hospital for Children.

The post holder will work as part of a team to organize and order all stock and equipment with the exception of medication. Stocking up and ensuring all stores are put away in a timeous manner thus no stock lying in boxes in corridor of clinics. Rotation of stock and checking expiry dates of products, daily replenishment of stock within each of the clinic rooms. Responsible for cleanliness and appropriate storage of equipment and furnishings and ensuring in good state of repair. Maintaining healthy infection control levels within OPD.  Record damages and issues and escalates on FM system.  Daily updates to SCN escalating any issues of concern. Recording of daily and monthly cleaning schedules. Have excellent communication and organizational skills

Knowledge, training and experience required to do the job:

  • Exceptional team-worker.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Previous experience working in clinics
  • GCSE English and Mathematics
  • Good communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality improvement

It is desirable that you are currently have experience with children, and have membership with Disclosure Scotland’s PVG Scheme.
