Are you a professional seeking an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in cancer care? We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Patient Engagement Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Focus on ensuring local implementation of the  cancer patient engagement thematic work programme.
• Deliver locally negotiated support to cancer nursing specialist teams for the implementation and embedding of a quality inquiry model of real-time improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of the care experience improvement model through expertise, support, and training.
• Facilitate and share best practice locally to enhance overall patient engagement.

Dimensions:

• Play an integral role in regular meetings with the Lead Cancer Nurse and colleagues from specialist teams, and collaborate with Healthcare Improvement Scotland as needed and in agreement with the Lead Cancer Nurse..

Key Responsibilities:

•  Develop and coordinate Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement projects across cancer.
•  Manage a portfolio of involvement and engagement activities for cancer experience improvement model to effectively embed across all cancer nursing specialities..

Qualifications and Experience:
•    Educated to degree level or equivalent.
•    Evidence of continuing professional development. 
•    Evidence of having undertaken recent further study
•    Band 5 level or equivalent qualification
•    Proven experience in patient engagement and involvement projects
•    Strong coordination skills
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•    Knowledge of healthcare improvement methodologies.
