An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Respiratory Physiotherapist to join a dedicated team for complex respiratory patients who are managed in their own homes. This is a wide and varied post where we empower patients to self manage their conditions as well as supporting both patients and families during their deteriorating phases of illness. We are currently looking to expand our team to support prevention of admission and support early discharge form hospital into a virtual ward scenario.
You must be innovative and be able to work independently in the community. You will work in partnership across primary and secondary care, including agencies and organisations outside the NHS to support people with respiratory disease in their home environment. You should be willing to develop and undertake further training as required. The post requires someone with excellent communication skills, good time management and the ability to prioritise workload and to use initiative as well as being a good team player. You will deputise for the Team Leader in their absence which will allow you develop leadership skills.
You will be based in ICASS Office at Whytemans Brae Hospital but this is a Fife wide service. It is essential that you have some pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory experience.
You will have experience of working with this patient group and have associated assessment and treatment knowledge and skills.
You will have a degree in Physiotherapy and CPD to support your ongoing development. Our service offers regular supervision, PDP and supports training opportunities.
The ability to reliably travel throughout Fife is essential.
Public Holiday working may be in operation (except Christmas Day & New Years Day).
