This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
To undertake the role of an advanced nurse practitioner, utilising high levels of decision making and clinical judgment. Ensure that the health needs of Care Experienced Children and Young people are met through the identification and the management of health conditions with assessment, treatment and the review planning process in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers. Provide specialist advice to health care professionals, partner agencies, carers, clients and relatives. The ANP role encompasses that of expert clinician, education and auditor. Lead and develop the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence-based standards, guidelines and policies. The post holder has professional and managerial responsibility for Care Experienced Children’s Nursing Team allocated to the specialist service within public protection and has responsibility for both clinical and staff governance issues.
