Band 3 Health Care Support Worker, 1 year fixed term 30 hours in Burns and Plastics Therapy Department. Working hours 08.00 to 16.00 x 3 days We are offering a rare and exciting career opportunity for an AHP Support Worker to join our Burns and Plastics Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team. You will work within a well-established multidisciplinary team providing clinical and administrative services to the burns and plastics in and out-patients. You will assist Clinical Specialist therapists in ensuring the timeous and efficient provision of patient care within the wards, out patients and within the patient’s home delivering and assessing equipment under the supervision of the therapist. You will have the opportunity to have your own patient workload working independently and assisting therapists daily in the provision of high quality patient care.
You will be expected to use initiative and deal with patient queries and general departmental issues via telephone and emails. We are a forward-thinking team, which delivers high quality, complex care to the Burns and Plastics Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The AHP Support Worker role within this is paramount to its smooth running. This will also be a post where you will be able to evolve your audit skills and develop service improvement ideas. Informal visits welcome to see the department and ward areas.
