Fixed term post for 12 months.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sonographer to take on a leadership/ management role. The post is 7/7, 365 days a year. The post holder would be required to work across multiple NHS GGC sites. The post holder will provide a professionally competent, efficient and effective service, whilst maintaining a high level of clinical expertise in their specialist area. They will participate in undergraduate, postgraduate and Registrar training, including supervising, motivating and developing other staff as appropriate. Alongside the Consultant Sonographer and Sector Superintendent Radiographer, the post holder will provide support and operational management to all members of the Ultrasound team in order to ensure delivery of a high quality and cost effective ultrasound service. As well as extensive clinical experience, there is a requirement for robust leadership skills, and candidates must show effective previous experience of this, along with a transformational approach to service provision. Experience in conducting audit / research and access provision would be advantageous. The role would involve a mixture of clinical and admin sessions. The post holder must be hold a current driving license and have a car available for business use.
