An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the established Community Mental Health Team in Skye, Lochalsh and Wester Ross (base is negotiable.) We are looking to recruit to full-time post of Advanced Practitioner for Mental Health at an Agenda for Change Band 7. This post hours are Monday- Friday,9am to 5 pm

One of our Service's top priorities is nurturing the next generation of staff. The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic person dedicated to delivering high quality care to the local community. You will be working with and supported with development by an ITM,a team of 6CPNs providing Drug& Alcohol Service; Adult Mental Health and Older Adult Mental Health, a Mental Health OT and 5 Health Care Support workers and work alongside, Acute in- patient services the Leads for each specialism and third sector providers in communities
The role means you will be Practising at Advanced Practice level (as defined within Careers Framework) to provide professional leadership and clinical support to Community Mental Health Nurses and other members of the CMHT across Skye Lochalsh and Wester Ross
You will manage a small caseload of mental health patients with complex needs, acting as a specialist resource, supporting staff in acute and community hospitals to provide care to patients who have acute mental health needs as well as in the community to promote early discharge.
You will provide clinical support and leadership to community mental health staff, multi-disciplinary colleagues and managers and professional leadership to specialised community mental health staff within the integrated team structure across Skye Lochalsh & Wester Ross.
