There is an exciting opportunity to be in be involved in the further development of an Urgent/Emergency Care Mental Health Service within the beautiful rural location of Argyll and Bute.

You should be able to work in a creative way to provide high quality assessment and  support to people who present in  mental health crisis and to font line services within each locality.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of current policies and practices and have clinical expertise in mental health and crisis interventions attained through relevant experience . Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.


The successful candidate will be motivated  and will exhibit enthusiasm and passion in working within this field  to deliver a  responsive and compassionate person centred, high quality urgent/emergency care response and escort service.

Multi-disciplinary working and communication is essential to this post and the post holder will be required to build excellent working relationships with our partners such as police colleagues and A and E departments.

This post will require the successful person to be the at the front line of services to provide assessment, escort provision to hospital if required, intensive support in the local place of safety and onward sign posting as required. 

The successful candidate will exhibit enthusiasm regarding multi-disciplinary working, and feel confident in working as an integral member of the extended  care team to ensure safe and effective clinical practice to enhance the patients and carers experience of care.  Evidence of personal and professional development in delivering care to people who have complex mental health needs are essential.
