Job Advert

NHS Fife are delighted to announce a new post working within Primary Care.  The post will be based in Lynebank Hospital, supporting the delivery of medicines reconciliation, along with other elements of practice work such as prescription management, medication reviews, audit, safety and cost efficiencies.

Within Lynebank Hospital, we currently have a well established team of Medicines Management Support Workers, supporting the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians within practice.  Alongside their role expansion, these posts are being introduced to provide professional and clinical accuracy checks.

Whilst you would ideally be Independent Prescribers, applicants without this qualification will be supported to complete as part of the role.  Whilst primary care experience would be an advantage, this is not essential as full training will be provided.

This role is an excellent developmental opportunity to give Pharmacists a breadth of experience across the diverse, interesting & engaging clinical nature of primary care.

As an integrated pharmacy service, we run regular staff development sessions on a range of clinical topics, and along with our MDT colleagues, there is regular opportunity to attend wider educational and CPD events.

Fife has something to offer everyone and for further details, please see the attached job pack.

To lead in the provision of expert pharmaceutical care for the people of Fife, in partnership with general practice, building rewarding and dynamic roles for our highly skilled team as part of an integrated pharmacy service

For an informal discussion, please contact Cara Mackenzie, Lead Clinical Pharmacist cara.mackenzie@nhs.scot or Judith King, Senior Base Pharmacist judith.king5@nhs.scot  Michelle Jackson, Lead Pharmacy Technician michelle.jackson@nhs.scot

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
