We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Workforce Directorate as an Apprentice on an initial 24-month contract. As a Workforce Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced Recruitment, HR and Organisational Development Professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience while studying towards your Business and Administration SCQF - Level 5 and Level 6 Modern Apprenticeship. People are at the heart at everything we do within Workforce, and you will learn about the full employee lifecycle in a fast paced, transformational directorate.  Our strategic goal is to have a workplace in which our people can thrive.

What will you be doing?

  • Learn and utilise HR systems and software effectively
  • Contribute to the preparation of HR reports and analytics
  • Assist in coordinating employee learning and development programs
  • Collaborate with team members to support various initiatives including wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, digital transformation and more
  • Develop checklists, processes, and policies in conjunction with experienced team members
  • Assist with minute-taking for formal meetings including Health and Safety Committee,  disciplinaries and grievances

What qualification or qualities are required?

  • National 5 Maths and English (SCQF Level 5) and above or equivalent
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft365
